Operation Bright Star_TM

Operation Bright Star (OBS) is a project to benefit children and schools, but particularly needy children of active military service personnel through the purchase and distribution of a book about personal ethics and individual responsibility ("The Four Gifts") to America's youth.

Distribution, packaging and shipping of "The Four Gifts" is performed by disabled U.S. military combat-wounded veterans with the assistance of their Regional  U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Rehabilitation and Vocational Counselors.

The preferred method of book distribution is through local community business leaders to further brand recognition of supporting businesses as noted in copies of each book they distribute.

All proceeds are paid out to support the designated beneficiaries of this program, the costs of sales, fundraising, and administering Operation Bright Star and publishing The Four Gifts books.  NO SALARIES are taken by any member of Operation Bright Star and 100% of labor for packaging, handling, and shipping books is performed by disabled American veterans.

Operation Bright Star is listed as of the many participating websites on GatheringOfEagles.org. Gathering of Eagles is non-partisan, containing a blog and message forum by and for military personnel, veterans, family members, and so on. A portion of their Mission Statement reads as: "We are wholly and forever committed to our brothers and sisters in uniform. As veterans, we understand their incredible and noble sacrifices, made of their own accord for a nation they love more than life itself. As family members, we stand by them, and as Americans, we thank God for them." Operation Bright Star, FourKidsUSA, and myself, Jack Moxon, are proud to be a part of this conglomeration!

How "Operation Bright Star" Works

Operation Bright Star presents an opportunity for Sponsors to enhance their image through distributing The Four Gifts to young Americans and aiding children of needy families of active duty military personnel.  Details are explained in Our Supporters.

Books are distributed through designated schools, or directly to the most needy school systems as determined by the OBS.

Beneficiaries

1. Needy children of active duty military personnel.  With so many reservists called to duty, these are the primary beneficiaries of Operation Bright Star

2. Young Americans who benefit from the wisdom and character building message of The Four Gifts.

3. Every school participating in Operation Bright Star(TM) receives a monetary gift.

4. Those who support Operation Bright Star for public relations, advertising, or corporate image enhancement.

5. Disabled U.S. military combat-wounded veterans who package and ship books.
